Annual EventsWoodson County is known as "the Prairie Hay Capital of the World" and The Miss Hay Capital pageant provides a pre-cursor opportunity for young ladies wishing to compete at the Miss Kansas or Miss Teen Kansas pageant. The winners of the Miss Hay Capital and Miss Teen Hay Capital pageants may compete at those pageants. The pageant also includes Junior Miss and Little Miss Hay Capital competitions.
