Woodson County Chamber - Miss Hay Capital Pageant, Fall Festival pie eating contest, BBQ Cook-offAnnual Events



Woodson County is known as "the Prairie Hay Capital of the World" and The Miss Hay Capital pageant provides a pre-cursor opportunity for young ladies wishing to compete at the Miss Kansas or Miss Teen Kansas pageant. The winners of the Miss Hay Capital and Miss Teen Hay Capital pageants may compete at those pageants. The pageant also includes Junior Miss and Little Miss Hay Capital competitions.

Hunting opportunities are ample in public areas and through game preserves and guided hunt services.

Kansas hunting and fishing licenses are required to hunt and/or fish in the State of Kansas.
